Funny how we have both commented on this and see it different ways. Of course we have opinions, i just think he should have left too, at least that might have helped get the message across that what they were doing was wrong.

Added an edit to explain my thoughts as I noticed your comment :)

Had a bit of a read on their forums,  its very mixed, some are saying the fans were out of order but others are applauding it and saying things like Noble shouldn't have done it and that this is the only way to get their message across.

Thing is you can see the venom and aggression in the fans aimed towards the directors box, its shocking. There are ways to protest and this is not it.

I also don't think Brooking helps things by letting the directors leave but he stays out in the box and continues watching the game. Its almost like he is saying 'its ok i can stay here, you dont hate me', he should have made it clear that the behaviour is bang out of order and also left with the directors.

I really hope that the PL dock them points and that deduction is the difference and sends them down so the relegation becomes the fans fault.

Of course, the premier league will administer a massive fine - to Sheffield United.

I see yeah.  I dont know if he has any official role at West Ham or not. But hes either there in that capacity or as a guest of the directors, so he should show some support to them. If he is with the fans and thinks the protests are ok he should decline the invitation and sit in the stands with the rest of the fans.

That's just my view of course. Be interesting to see what he had to say about it.

No it will be Burnley this time, how dare they win on a day West Ham were paying respects to Bobby Moore?

Not sure if he was trying to be funny but he genuinely said this

"The level of aggression was something I couldn't believe a West Ham fan would get involved in."

That is wilfull ignorance considering West Ham's weird obsession with hooliganism back in the day. Maybe they take pride in it because it's about the only thing their horrible little club has been good at.
