I am reasonably fit [I think] for my age ,can still run / move about ok but couldn't play anywhere 90 mins of proper football.Thought about walking football if anyone plays wouldn't mind an heads up on where to go etc.

P.S  The topic on oldest team in the Championship prompted me to ask this.

RE: Walking Football

Great stuff, you are eligible for the forever active program (over 60’s activity program), sign up sessions are every week on a Tuesday 3.00-3.30 at our offices below – 14 pride point drive, derby. DE24 8BX.

Which Tuesday would you like to book in??

Thanks KK good to know - a nice quick response from them. Hope it all goes well and you get a lot out if it pity I don't live in Derby now as I would be tempted to give it a go myself. Might make some enquiries down here in Northants

My knees are  stuffed so I wouldn't mind doing it but I  am 2 years too young (48)

I don’t think it matters too much, it depends on the guys organising it and their opinion. My dad plays weekly (he’s 55) so knows the guys well. Took me along when visiting once, at 28 they didn’t have a problem. It’s all 1 speed anyway. I was slightly more agile than most, but it will still a good workout and there wasn’t an unfair advantage for my team.

As I said, it just depends on the group running it.
