Disgusting by Carvajal.

Messi only the 11 goals ahead of the Balon D'or winner now.

Champions League

Ronaldo 9

Messi 3

La Liga

Messi 14

Ronaldo 4

Total

Messi 17

Ronaldo 13

Maths not your strong point I take it? ;)

Messi has 15 in the league now.

Only 4 of those CL goals were against Apoel, not too bad.

Bit like Messi’s 4 against the mighty Eibar, and the minor detail that he’s played 5 more La Liga games than Ronaldo.

The fact that Messi isn’t even a striker and still outscores Ronaldo shows how superior he is as he is better in every other aspect of the game.

Poor finishing from his teammates costs Messi 100 assists a season. In the second half alone he put Suarez, Andre Gomes and Semedo through one on one with the keeper and they all missed.

Another assist for Messi right at the end.

Well that should be the Spanish League over with then, given Atletico's defeat last night.  That's the German, English, French and Spanish leagues all looking done and dusted by Christmas.  Shame really!  At least Serie A is still looking interesting.

Credit to Valverde, who is making Barcelona defensively solid at a time when their midfield is no longer what it was. And it will be good to see Messi get another La Liga title and possibly Pichichi along with it. The best player on Earth deserves nothing less.

Don’t forget the mighty Scottish League is over too.
