Derby County F.C. v Millwall F.C.

Championship

Pride Park Stadium, Derby

Well, Millwall head to Pride Park next weekend. The start of a hectic period for the poor professional footballer, no rest for the wicked they say, and the games come thick and fast, and no doubt many more cliques you could think off.

As you can see in the form guide above Millwall haven’t won an away game this season, they don’t seem to let many in away either.  So Derby will no doubt be up against the two banks of four again, something Derby can struggle to overcome at home it seems.

Millwall won’t bring many I don’t imagine, so the atmosphere could be a bit flat, last game out, Villa’s fans gave the South Standers a good run for their money and the atmosphere was quite good.

What about the weather?   https://www.metcheck.com/WEATHER/dayforecast.asp?zipcode=Derby&locationID=57581&lat=52.9&lon=-1.5&dateFor=23/12/2017

Cold! +3deg but will feel like 0 apparently, so much like against Villa, blummin freezing!

Betting? Home win 8/11. Draw 13/5.  Away win 7/2.   https://sports.paddypower.mobi/#sport/49/competition/13492/event/13275485

So, lets grind out a result in what will be a hard team to break down. Hopefully Lawrence and Wiemann will both be back to add pace down either side and the midfield will switch play at speed and make the ‘wall defence brick themselves. ?

What do you guys think?

Think we might have to open the gates fully so they can get the bus in, lets hope its not a double decker. Hate these games one quick break and you can be bug**ed.  Start with Nugent and then being on CM late on. 1-0 to the Rams for me, lets not get frustrated or write Millwall off they are tricky buggers

Don’t be fooled about Millwall....play nice stuff I’ve heard and should have beat Villa last week. Hungry to survive, obviously will struggle more away from home, hence no wins away..... but this ain’t by no means a pushover.

This is the sort of game I hate, it should be 3 points and that makes it tricky and an impatient crowd could play into Millwalls hands.

One of those, score early and we could win 4 or 5 nil, get to 60 minutes and its still 0-0 they could snatch it 1-0.

I'll be there in person for a change, which is nice.

Me too! 3rd game this season.

We used to live up the road from the Baseball Ground, and I remember being scared witless as an 8-year old when we had our front window smashed by a milk bottle thrown from a group of Millwall fans being chased up the street by the police.

COYR!

Hammer them, murder them....

I’m sure it’s just a figure of speech.

Will take a 1-0 win from this, they will come with 10 men behind the ball, it will not be pretty, but these are the games the fans need to stay patient and give the team 100 percent backing, hope we get a early goal, then the game might be different, same 11 who started against Villa if Wiemann is fit, if not then play Lawrence if fit and if he is not available, then play Russell, important game this, please Derby beat this horrible team, then my Christmas will be made.

So, hoping to see,

                       Carson

Wisdom   Keogh   Pearce   Forsythe

                 Thorne     Ledley

        Russell       Vydra   Johnson

                          Winnall

Think we will still win this without a problem.
