David
First league in Champions League history to see 5 clubs in the knockout stage. One season where European performances cannot be used as a reason to criticise the PL. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/42255985 With the money in the PL are we starting to see the first baby steps of what could be European domination? Whilst our top clubs are still some way behind the likes of Real and Bayern, we all know money is what makes the football go round, only a matter of time before more superstars are lured over, ask Neymar what he thinks about money. AndyinLiverpool
Who cares? How Man Utd et al do in European completion is an irrelevance. That the premier league has managed to persuade people into fetishising a top 4 place is one of the great tragedies of English football.
David
Eight Premier League games will be played in a new 19:45 slot on Saturdays under the terms of a new broadcast package from the 2019-20 season. Broadcasters will bid for rights to show 200 live matches, more than 50% of the league's 380 games and an increase on the current deal's 168. The new package will also allow successful bidders to broadcast rounds of midweek matches in their entirety. Pearl Ram
And not an English manager in charge of any of the five clubs. Not that there has to be of course, I just think it’s a sad state of affairs our coaches/managers are lagging behind their continental counterparts so badly. Still, on a happier note, we’ve got Southgate in charge of the National team.

The likes of Allardyce, Hodgson and Pardew. They took three jobs that could have gone to the likes of Wilder or Dyche because they are seen as 'solid' or 'proper football men'. The financial pressure not to get relegated forces clubs in to a situation where taking a punt is not really an option.

The dinosaurs like allardyce and hodgson stick with the same assistant who becomes a dinosaur in their own right. Sammy Lee ffs. .....

I concur, one hopes the same fate awaits them that done for the Peter Reid/Adrian Heath partnership. The FA thinks that the building of St George’s Park will sort out all our deficiencies yet does little to educate young managers on how the more progressive foreign coaches go about things. Bris Vegas
It goes in cycles. Right now three of the top five best managers in the world are currently in charge of top PL teams. It has made a huge difference. Get Unai Emery or Laurent Blanc over here to replace Arsene Wenger and there could be another genuine title contender. Each to their own though
