RadioactiveWaste
She seems surprised at the news! Anyway, has he tried putting an "80% off" tag on it? Was £8bn now just....
Wolfie
They should put a couple of spotty teenagers on minumum wage in charge of the sale....who then just stand chatting and ignore everyone who wants to come & buy it.
ViewsFromTheMiddle
Newcastle United is being put up for sale at the "right time" by owner Mike Ashley and is in a "healthy position", according to a sport finance expert. Ashley bought the club, promoted to the Premier League last season, for £134.4m in 2007 and hopes to sell by Christmas. Newcastle turned over £126m in 2015-16 and Dan Plumley, a senior lecturer in sport business management, believes it is now worth "in the region of £300m". "It is an attractive proposition," Plumley told BBC Sport. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/41648916
Van der MoodHoover
She's brokered the Al mansour takeover of citeh. Close to lots of serious middle eastern dosh. Fat rafa will be puffing up in anticipation of a "spare no expense" transfer kitty.

Van der MoodHoover
Deal off according to ssn. No transfer kitty for rafa this window. Cue lots of disgruntlement among the geordie faithful.

JuanFloEvraTheCocu'sNesta
Newcastle could end up going down again if they don't do something in the window.

ilkleyram
I read somewhere that Ashley has spent £360m on Newcastle over the years and that he wants that back at the very least. The problem that he's got is that he hasn't been able to generate a competing bid to create an auction that could up the price. Staveley's the only game in town and she knows it. The gamble that he's taking is that Newcastle will stay up. If they don't then Rafa will probably go - he may do anyway - and the valuation will plummet. It'll be interesting to see whether Ashley sanctions any transfer deals in January to help avoid relegation or whether it's all bluff and double bluff. CumbrianRam
Be lucky to get £100m for it in the Championship, like previously said Ashley is gambing on staying up this season I think.
