Maybe. 

If I was Mel I'd carry on supporting and backing the club as he has done so far very well IMO

He has wiped out approximately  8 Million debt or more year on year and we as fans should be happy about that. 

The animosity towards MM is unjustified.

I am sure most of you are knowledgeable enough to realise that you don't just pitch up at a club and say 'I want that player, here is x amount. shake hands and the deal is done'

The player should also want to be here. I would think that any self respecting career minded footballer would have noticed the steady decline in Derby over the past couple of years. Probably attributed it to the unrest at the management level. Then probably said ' why should I go there on a promise of a certain style of play only to find the manager gone with 2/3rds of the season left. Not knowing whether the new guy is going to play him.

Until we get some stability in the upper levels then we have to build and stick with it until it is proved not to be a working solution.  

Gary is also known to be a 'get the bills down' type manager and work with what you have. He has a little luxury with the owner but I still think this whole mess is a result of the last 4 years and not Gary Rowett.

I think people have justified it - Or rather justified their opinions with reasoning

I just don't agree with their reasons  I think a lot of assumptions are being made without us really knowing what's been going on

The only thing we actually know is Morris has poured a load of his own money into the club - Everything else is speculation

You can 'surmise' all you like,but from what I remember the accusation was an alleged serious breach of fiduciary duty. I can distinctly remember Mel saying that it was almost inevitable that the matter would end up in the courts,and that we'd all eventually get to learn of the facts.As none of us knows what the issue/s were,I suggest we all sit back and await the outcome, rather than invent something to suit an agenda.

I reckon the "fiduciary duty" was put in to ensure it goes to court. It would be career suicide for Sam to accept that, and this way every Derby fan will hear the evidence given. Im not sure if there would be an impact of FFP, I would hope that extraordinary circumstances such as this would be exempt. Even if the tribunal decides in sams favour, at least we will see the alleged behaviours*

The debt reduction  was £15m (Pride Park,as was,loan),together with something approaching £500k in respect of preference shares,classified as debt. On the flip side, an amount of £3m,which had previously languished in 'other creditors' for a number of years,was reclassified as debt.This was done at the same time as the other business.

Thus the current external debt is £3m,a far cry from the figures I can remember for donkeys years,and even then this amount may have been cleared after the  15/16 year end, for all I know.

I would like to hope that in order for you to be offering advice to Mr Morris you are at least a  management/business consultant or have at least one business of your own that has proved to very very successful.

If none of these I would question your audacity at posting any of this.

I think whilst the post came across as a bit condescending - Especially the unnecessary use of long words to 'showcase his intelligence' - I don't think he was trying to suggest people aren't allowed an opinion

I think he was suggesting that someone with experience in those fields might have a better understanding of the position Morris is in - Where the rest of us form our opinions from a position of relative ignorance - I've certainly never run a football club or my own business and I don't know the legal processes which the club will be going through post-Rush-sacking - Which is partly why I choose to hedge my opinions on those matters

To be honest I did guess that but the post was condescending IMO and wound me up. I guess The Moist One was equally condesending in some replies as well. If I have read it wrong then I would apologise.
