Inglorius
Let's play a game as Jigsaw says, can you name any players recruited on a free transfer or paid fee over the past 3 seasons whom have improved as a player since joining the club? Nope for the purposes of this debate they must have improved as a player not maintained the same standards

cannable
To be honest, I'm convinced that footballers don't really improve much after they're teenagers. They just find roles, positions and systems throughout their career in which they can display their talents to a greater extent. For example, BJ was an absoloute beast as the DM in a backs to the wall team even though it was the first time he'd ever played there.

Mostyn6
seems a bit of a loaded question, considering we have bought in mainly "proven" players, which you wouldn't expect to improve.

Not met to be loaded, could equally apply to a player whom has been reinvented by being played in a new position a la Thierry Henry under Wenger. Topram
Baird has always been a good solid player just got slagged off before he could prove it! Good job you didn't ask who has got worse the list would be a lot longer
Dimmu
Impossible to answer. For example, I have no idea how Keogh played for Coventry.

I remember all the hope and promise that was around when we signed these players. These players were supposed to be the ones to concrete our place as title contenders and get us to the promised land. 3 years on its arguably the route of all of our current problems. Baring Ince and Carson none of those players signed really improved the team.
