Shouldn't be a ticket for running out of fuel a fixed penalty for being a t**** would do. You can't argue against that in a court of law. Of course i dont know but i dare bet that statistically this is rare, i would imagine if you have a genuine fault like this the police would be more lenient. Most of the time is just laziness. A Ram for All Seasons Posted September 24, 2017 Share Posted September 24, 2017 We once ran out of petrol on the M1 somewhere near Luton. We were in a slow-moving traffic jam at the time, so we were able to push it without any difficulty.
