The main concern seems to be his age. We have the highest average age in the league and we're doing pretty well so far, I'd say. 

Trust Gary to know what he wants from a player. Jerome will probably not be giving us 4 years of service, but he might help fire us into the Prem this year.

Boro did it with Rhodes. Southampton did it with Sharp. Hopefully, we can do it with Jerome.

No thanks. Can't hit a barn door. He would have made a fine sprinter but he isn't a great footballer. Must be a relatively short term signing to get us over the line.

Not true though is it, 16 goals last season and 18 in his last Championship season before that. 

When you look at our top scorers in recent seasons his goal return would have see those numbers be our top or second top goalscorer.

Yeah but that's trying to bring actually relevant stats into the equation...why would you want to do that? 

At the end of the day somebody on Twitter, who has probably never even seen Jerome play, had said he is rubbish and a bad signing, so that becomes gospel.

Thereafter the game is to say anything you like about him and expect to go unchallenged.

Really dont understand why Rowett is signing somebody who only has one leg though.
