Boycie
Sad news, he's been ill for a while it seems, loved the generation game the first time around, and always remember it going off air when the TV crew were on strike. Rest in Peace Sir Bruce.
Sexydadbod
I thought it was a prank first! He was a great guy. Nice to see you, to see you nice!
Gritstone Ram
He's been around all my life. Some shows I liked some I didn't but he was a good old fashioned entertainer RIP.
Van der MoodHoover
One of the great generation game's contestants was a lady from Derby. Television magic timed perfectly timed on a Saturday night to catch the football crowd coming home. Great entertainer. Took a lot of stick in the 80s and 90s for his ludicrous hairpieces but took it all in good humour. RIP Bruce.

richinspain
To echo others, a fixture when I was growing up and beyond. Like him or not as an entertainer, he always came across as a nice guy. RIP Bruce.

RamNut
Saw him once at a pro -celebrity golf day at chevin. whilst we queued to get his autograph, a consultant - maybe a heart surgeon i can't quite remember - passed him his card and suggested that if bruce could ever help them with fund raising, they would be very grateful. Bruce blanked him and passed the card to someone else.

Phoenix
Piece of Trivia. The flowering shrub Forsythia is named after William Forsyth (late 1700's), a founder member of the Royal Horticultural Society, and a Royal head gardener. Brucie is a direct descendant.
