A lot of suggestions of who to come in and a lot of agreement that dead wood needs to be shipped out, but big question is... where? Think The forum could do with a topic to discuss possible outs. Rules: must be realistic not an excuse to whine about players. Specific clubs and they must have a need in that position (exits, injuries or lack of current options) or must give a reason why that player would fit Example: Jason Shackell- move to the MLS- American wife- possible last contract age with back injuries Marcus Olson- Leeds? Haven't really got LB since losing Taylor Pearce/Keogh- Birmingham and Sheff Wed still looking for a cb? Doesn't Morris do all that now? He seems to want to be everything to everyone and has trust issues. He's local we will be alright.
Anag Ram
There has been a distinct lack of interest in Derby players for a few years now. Wonder why?

Because we overpaid for average players no better than what we had at the time, with no thought as to how to get the best out of them. Consequently said players haven't performed, so nobody wants to gamble on players who haven't performing and are on substantial wages.

Do you think anyone says this out loud in board meetings?

But I think its fairly clear to see that we have spent a lot of money and seemingly only gone backwards.

Mel might have, then listened to the justification given by Sam. Then acted. Bye Sam.
ramsbottom
Outs - Butterfield, Shackell, Weimann, Russell, Blackman, Anya. The problem is, due to Uncle Mel's Great Money Spunking era, we're stuck with incredibly average players on stupid wages, that no other club in this league will even contemplate paying, except maybe Villa, Hull & Sunderland. I know those in bold above weren't signed during the time Chris Evans could've persuaded Mel to buy a soggy piece of toast for £3m + £30k a week, but they're both crap and offer nothing, another reason why clubs won't show any interest in them.
