He's not really a runner that GR likes is he?

I'd agree, but we have enough players capable of scurrying around, and perhaps we need a balance. Someone who can put their foot on the ball and control things.

That is the exact description I'd use for George Thorne

Although he's not the most reliable now days, sadly.

Such a shame, I suppose if George can't be relied on then Tom would be a sound alternative

Who is gonna get the ball to him to stand on?!

Carson, Forsyth, Lowe, Olsson, Keogh, Davies, Wisdom, Baird, Shackell, Bryson, Thorne, Johnson, Butterfield, Russell, Vydra, Martin, Nugent, maybe a few others too.

We know we can't rely on George to be fit unfortunately and GR has said that he likes to play 4-2-3-1 so surely we need another proper CDM.

This would be ideal for me, younger and technically better than Glen Whelan for me.

We need a Eustace mark ii.

Thorne is not Mr reliable, and when he's not in the team we now do not have a player that can do what he does.

Hughes was the closest thing we had to another thorne in the team. Huddleston's would be a very good fit for any solid champ team

No denying George Thorne is the best midfielder in the league.

Arguably the best player in the league.

But his injuries are stacking up.

No one can say that big Tom can't play. He can get on the ball and move it around quickly with precision.

Where've you seen that one, mate?

Caught on twitter from what appeared to be a hull fan, clearly ain't usually a reliable place but you never know, probably no reason to make it up as they didn't appear to be seeking attention like 99% on there...

EDIT: scrap that, it was in the sun
