DEL
By the way thanks to @Kyle guest who mentioned this in summer transfer suggestion thread. Hopefully this is OK to have a thread for this player. Yes please. ??
Cam the Ram
Come on Gary. We've got Johnson, Bryson, Butterfield, Thorne and Hanson for the centre mid spots. If you really need to sign another for some reason, at least go for someone on the up like Irvine.
Nuwtfly
Rowett's absolutely desperate to bring in an midfield veteran, isn't he?

Ambitious
It gives me hope we aren't just looking at runners and grafters in the middle of the park; Huddlestone is everything but. I would definitely have him, on our terms, if for nothing else but cover for George.

RoyMac5
Can't see what GR would see in Huddlestone and I can't see owt either.
Rample
He's not going to be on seriously crazy money, he would have taken a drop when Hull came down same as Davies so I still think he'd be on less than Johnson is for one. Also give someone of his age more than a one/two year deal and it affects what they'll accept I just don't see that he is what we need, I'd have him as a bench player to see games out but that's all, and he will be on too high a wage for that. Also don't think he'd be too well received, yes no-one wanted him to go for peanuts but I think that was the only factor.
Ambitious
I think Huddlestone did well for Hull last season, by all accounts there have been premier league sides (reportedly) in for him.
Waffle
I think we've signing the likes of Davies and potentially Huddlestone. GR is trying to instil a real sense of leadership within the changing room.

Unfortunately not. He signed a new deal a month after they won promotion back to the Premier League. He probably would have had a relegation wage drop clause though I'd imagine, but if there's Prem teams interested in him as @Ambitious suggests, it would probably take a fairly big offer in wages to bring him here.
