"Cyrus Christie, the Derby defender, could be another player on the way out after Brighton, Middlesbrough and Reading expressed an interest in signing him.

The Republic of Ireland international is available for a fee of around £1.5million, with a year left on his contract."

Apparently, we're still accepting 2005 money but paying out 2017 money.

Would be a decent move for Christie to Brighton and I would like more money for him as for Hughes leaving, well going to Watford just fills me with frustration

Couldn't have put it any better. Didn't we sell John Brayford for £1.5m? I'd like to known who is negotiating these deals for us.

Obviously it's Gary Rowett who is in charge of transfer activity.

Well that is what we may get, come January it would be £300.000 - £500,000

and yes we pay far to much and at least Rowett is so far stopping that with the Davies and Wisdom signings

He is only an international first choice due to Coleman's injury so that is irrelevant in terms of his valuation imo. Anya has started quite a few games for Scotland recently in various positions but people question what we paid for him?

How the hell is it irrelevant? Second choice to one of the best RBs in the prem is hardly a bad thing. Have Derby lost there minds with these deals?

Fairly cheap option who is available, still young but quite experienced. Can see why they'd be interested. If they can add that to their squad at under £2m they might see it as a good deal, but if he was valued at £5m I doubt there would be much interest.

About the same fee as de Laat seems fair.
