This is the greatest squad of all time. Truly amazing, no weaknesses whatsoever.

Get a grip son... without even looking very deeply into it....the goalkeeper is useless, Ramos is too old, too slow, and too mardy  and Generally they are a bunch of knobs.

Haha ok. They may be a bunch of knobs, but they are a bunch of very good knobs.

Well they have done something that Guardiola's Barcelona never did in terms of winning the champions league back to back and winning it 3 times in 4 years. Also Guardiola's Barca struggled heavily against teams who sat back like Inter and Chelsea whereas Real Madrid are fine against those sort of teams as seen against atletico and juve.

In terms of a squad, this Real Madrid side are much better than that Barcelona side. This Real Madrid side has so much depth it's crazy. Pepe and James , 2 world class players, weren't even on their bench tonight.

In a one off game in terms of the starting 11, that Barcelona team were better than this current Madrid team and were better looking on the eye.

That would have been a brilliant midfield battle though Busquets, Xavi and Iniesta v Casemiro, Modric, Kroos and Isco.

James and Pepe world class...? Open your eyes son...they aren't even close to being world class.

I don't think Champions League titles can be a great measure of success. I mean, last season Madrid's run to the title was Roma, Wolfsburg, Man City then Atletico Madrid. They didn't even play a 'champion' in the Champions League.

Guardiola's squad won something like 19 titles in four seasons, which far outweighs anything this current Madrid squad has done. This Madrid side has potential, but for now there is no comparison.

Busquets, Iniesta and Xavi were not only vital to Barca' success, they also formed the greatest midfield trio international football has ever seen with three straight titles.

This current Madrid squad is brilliant though. I'm quite confused as to how they can have players like James, Bale, Morata and Pepe on the bench - these aren't exactly low earners.

Barca have explained numerous times that the salaries they pay the front three mean they struggle to back that up with the same quality in midfield and defence. It's understandable.

Yet Madrid have more 'world stars' than Barca do. How can Barca struggle with their salaries yet Madrid can afford to have Ronaldo, Bale, Benzema, Sergio Ramos, James Rodriguez, Isco and Kroos who will all be on huge salaries let alone Marcelo, Morata, Modric, Pepe and Varane. Even players like Kovacic, Danilo and Coentrao will be on big salaries and they don't even feature in the squad. Something doesn't quite add up.

I actually agree with you in a certain aspect though. Barcelona's team under Guardiola is the greatest ever IMO, but in terms of squad depth and individual quality it's hard to argue this Madrid squad isn't up there.

Barcelona under Guardiola filled their squad out a lot with academy players. Barcelona's bench for the 2011 CL final for instance was Oier, Puyol, Keita, Adriano, Afellay, Thiago and Bojan.

Madrid's bench yesterday could have been Pepe, James, Kovacic, Danilo, Bale, Morata and Coentrao with fellow players such as Lucas Vazquez, Nacho and Asensio missing out completely.

They are in the top 5 best players in their respective positions in the world so yes they are world class. James is debatable but if you don't rate Pepe as a defender then you certainly haven't watched him play consistently.

He might take it too far at times on the pitch but in terms of how good he is, he is a brilliant defender. He has been a key part of each of the Real Madrid teams to win the champions league 3 times and was arguably portugal's best player at the euros for them to the win. My top 5 centre backs are: Boateng, Bonucci, Godin, Pepe and Pique.
