Yet another scabby win for Huddersfield. An own goal and penalties in the semi final and penalties now! Four of their players return to their Premier League club and Wells is available on a Bosman leaving not much to confront the Premier league.

That'll changes now.

Just consistent for them this season, like Mooy said they only every battled out 1 goal wins most of the time. Goes to show how good we were when we got there. We smashed Brighton in our semi. More like what a wasted few years for us.

They still deserve it more than we do. We were not as good as either team over the course of the season and they both thoroughly deserved to be in the play offs and then the final.

So what it wasn't a good game. So much pressure and future riding on the game it wasn't likely to be a free flowing, open game.

Have we missed out? No because neither team beat us to get to the final.

Not jealous at all this morning, sat in rainy Grimsby whilst one of these buggers will hit the jackpot at Wembley today.

Want Huddersfield to go up, just for fielding that weaker side to annoy Forest. Reading will win though 2-1. Won't be a classic, calling it now.

Expect both teams to go and sit back, wait for the other to make a mistake which will make it a bit of a borefest. Won't matter to the winner though.

Oh and no crying please, save those tears for when you stub your toe on the bed, not a football game.

Wonder if Jacob Butterfield is crying or smiling right now?

Penny for his thoughts eh.

They replace Hull as the only Yorkshire team in the PL (and Hull can't decide if they're East Yorkshire or North Humberside) so well done to them. Better than Leeds bring the sole representative.

Or Sheff "massive" Wednesday

Keep hearing people talking about the Huddersfield manager bringing in players with character. The players saying they built character in the squad...that's what Gary needs to do with our squad. #easypeasy

Or we could just put A bell in the ball ?

Just watched 120 minutes of complete rubbish, not a clear goal attempted the whole game. Two poor sides

What a opportunity we have wasted this past season.

have you seen the playoffs before?

or the euros last summer.

knock out football bears no resemblance to league football, its edgy football with teams determined not to loose.

Suspect his starting eleven will look a little different come August. Manager alone has pulling power.  Dipping in to German market, can see some quality there next season, I'd be confident already they can survive in top flight.

They will need more than a few Germans. They won't cut it in the Premier League by being fit and trying to win 1 nil! Their squad is threadbare thin and they won't be able to sign players on the cheap or I suspect bring in loan players because the other Premier League teams won't be daft enough to give them a leg up. Middlesbrough were a much better side and they came straight back down.

But they've done it and so get a chance, if they fail they gets lots of cash to help them try again. Your comment sounds like sour grapes?
