In all seriousness though Sunderland by all accounts is an absolute shambles right now. Massive issue with wage bill, a squad of players nobody is likely to buy, a club culture that is repeatedly under question, miserable fans, miserable staff. Why would Monk want it? He could hold out for a better job surely?

Monk's stock is pretty high, not sure if he's done enough to get a prem team that isn't Swansea interested, but he can get a top championship job - i guess it depends on the situation behind the doors as to weather Sunderland is one or destined for a difficult time.

Sunderland is a great job if assurances are made on funds. Wouldn't be surprised if many had relegation clauses in their contracts, they've been flirting with relegation for years.

They also have saleable assets and players with huge experience that will get them back up.

It's a strange situation with Davies, his managerial record is actually very good, he just happens to be an absolute tool.

Im surprised nobody's taken a punt on him at least

He'll get you one or two years of good results but will destroy everything around him.

He's like Mourinho but without having the nous in knockout competitions, worse signings and is poisonous.
