Stability - what's the point?

The sacking is expected but that probably says more about how our owner operates rather than what should happen. How can we develop without stability? What was expected when McClaren came in? We were lingering around the relegation places when McClaren was hired so surely there was no expectation to achieve anything this year? How can you expect a manager to operate, no matter who it is, without being given a full summer to alter the squad how he wants?

I wasn't entirely convinced McClaren was the right appointment when he came back but once that decision has been made, you need to stick with it. So although I'm not disgusted that McClaren is no longer our manager, I'm disappointed that we haven't chosen to stick with him for a longer period of time. The next appointment is massive. We need somebody that Mel can trust to spend and rebuild the squad, and give them long enough to actually try and get that squad working. Once again, we're back to square one, however this time square one is probably placed a little further away from the PL.

Can't blame Mel, he's got the clubs best interest at heart.

I'm sure seeing Mcclaren and Powell laughing on the side lines when we are 3-0 down didn't help much

Oh ffs, yeah that must really have hurt. Unlike signing rubbish players and spunking cash up the wall.
