Going to replace my rather ancient Phenom 965be and 280x, Suffering in BF1 at present. I only do gaming.

Anon
ITT - console peasants. I gave up trying to maintain a top end PC years ago. It's too expensive and I don't play enough high end games to require it.

GenBr
Reading the reviews it says Intel is still far superior for gaming, but despite this it is still a very good CPU. Would still stick with Intel if you are using it for gaming.
TimRam
Depends how much power Ryzen uses and how much heat is given out. Amd high-end are notorious for a huge amount of both.
RicME85
Ryzen is very low on TDP and is twice the bang for your buck. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9wJQEHNYE7M

Ashz09
I haven't upgraded in years. Still able to play League of Legends on High and Witcher on normal. Costs far to much for brand new graphics cards. I just go on TomsHardware and buy there budget recommended items second hand of EBay. Every time lasts me around 3-4 years.
