Van der MoodHoover
Marvellous what today's medicine can achieve. But it still needs enormous courage and fortitude to battle through and achieve full recovery. Wishing your son all the very best. He's come a long way clearly so stay strong and bring him out into the sunlight

Many thanks from our family and from Joel for the lovely messages and support. I've rattled on enough so i'll leave you in peace. If any of you see us in the East Stand upper next year please say hello. Cheers John,Joel and family. Understand you would want to move on...so good luck. Personally speaking though I would like hear how he gets on and how his progress moves along...so if you ever get the urge post if you ever get to a big milestone, sure I'm not the one would love to hear good news. Best wishes regardless!

Coneheadjohn
Got up at 5ish,took dogs back 5.45 to sort the younger two for school. Joel's sleeping in the living room and was awake, never seen so much sick, high temp. Put him in bed, waited for people to start arriving at work and making phone calls. We have been here plenty of times and a&e is out unless a not breathing job. Speaks to Birmingham then Sheffield, take him to his consultant in Sheffield once they're ready. Everything worked smoothly, they wanted to keep him under observation but we have agreed to do it at home. When I went to wake him to take him to hospital I thought he had died(I can smile now),I had put him in bed and he looked terrible,I just had a moment where I just thought he wasn't breathing. I grabbed him and he nearly jumped out of his skin...ffs! That's it,back to Birmingham monday.Nothing to worry about. Bloody hell!
