I couldn't take a fraction of what Joel's been through. Easy for us,we just have to make sure he doesn't catch us crying. Fingers crossed this has done the trick. Coneheadjohn
Just a quick note then I can leave this and hopefully move on. Joel is back home now, amazing really. Surgery has gone better than we could have hoped although the next few weeks are crucial. He will go back to Brum every tuesday and Thursday for the next few weeks for follow up and scans. If there is no problem he will move onto 6 monthly MRI's for life. His scalp was reconstructed by an ex miltary surgeon(James Baden)who used shark skin to replace the flap they grafted in his ear canal,to replace the fat and diseased bone which was drilled out. When they did the surgery he was so riddled with infection/disease that the consultant termed it as a time bomb waiting to go off. He's rough but doing well. Many thanks from our family and from Joel for the lovely messages and support. I've rattled on enough so i'll leave you in peace. If any of you see us in the East Stand upper next year please say hello. Cheers John,Joel and family.
