Exactly, the irony from some pundits and journos slagging the China gravy train this evening is unreal. Money talks.

especially to the foreign players who only came here for the money anyway.

how often do you see a top foreign player stick it out when their premier league club gets relegated to the championship.

pretty much never.

all this "best league in the world" nonsense, is absolute nonsense.

Its the best paid league in the world. thats why they really come.... that and the fact most foriegners are better at english than any other language that is not their native language. Sometimes its easier to go to england than spain, france, italy germany etc.

Start of the end already?

Like they had in Italy in the 1990s.

Wish we could have this rule, except being in the EU meant it was illegal.

Even if we do finally leave the EU in the next year or so, I cant imagine our FA agreeing to something like this. They dont have the balls, or the national pride in our own to do it.

Is this guy slow? This is already, and has always been, the case in the Chinese Super League since its inception.

All the major news outlets are reporting it, Chinese FA have put out a statement about the rule change recently. Used to be 5 apparently

He's wrong. They're currently allowed 4+1 (the 1 being a player from another Asian country) in the matchday squad and 3+1 on the pitch.

This is bad news for Aussie and Korean players plying their trade in China. It doesn't really change much for European and South American imports.

Too many of these foreign player's are mercenaries...so China could well become a big threat.

I hope Costa don't go 'cos he would be a big lost to the Premier League..but money talks.

Maybe we might see a few more homegrown kids coming through the ranks if these foreign star's are drawn away by the lure of mega yen's.
