I think the jokes on you mate.

I cant decide if you are being ironic or not.

He is their player, and Martin is refusing to play, damn right Disciplinary action is needed. Funny how martin is injured only after he has said he has played his lat game for them. Its just Martins excuse. This stinks of Van Hoojidnk and Saido Berinihoo at WBA. Serious faul play by both Derby and Martin, and all because Derby cant move on, and sign a better player who might actually be able to hold down a place in the premiership when we get there.

You're talking too much sense. Good post. The funny part is that we will prob get him back after much egg on our face and much loss of respect as a club,  yet then karma (and reality) will bite our ass.

To think that sitting atop of (minus WH) the most uncreative set of midfield and wingers we've seen at derby in forever martin will actually be successful? He know he fits Fulhams flair attacking style better than he fits us so what does that tell you? It says that hes not interested in football, it's something else that's motivating him. Because he clearly had to be enjoying his football there.

He'll be back we just have to sit tight and wait there is no way Fulham are going to pay shed loads for someone to sit in reserves if they want to be stubborn go for it who's losing out most ? We will just loan someone else till the end of the season and have him in the summer whereas they will get nothing for there money .

Just a few months ago these were some of the best creative players in the league and were the only reason Martin was prolific… according to you.

Glad you remember but Years not months ... with Thorne Hendrick hughes a buoyant Bryson and an on fire Russell Christie and Fozzy

A lawsuit waiting to happen, Derby and Chris Martin need to tread carefully, and I wouldn't be surprised if one of them throws the other under the bus when they realise that Fulham will take the issue very seriously and be seeking £3m and half a seasons wages if they are deprived of the player.

This could get messy. Best thing for Derby to do is to make Fulham a good and fair offer to Fulham as a severance deal, and then tell Martin to buckle down and get on with it until the summer if Fulham reject it.

Offering them back their £3m, or £2m plus Vydra for the rest of the season, sounds like a fair offer to me.

Far too fair, leave alone make no comments to the press and work behind the scenes, no need to seem desperate, if Fulham can see we are not unsettling CM ( which we are) maybe they will come to the table, we should also push for confirmation that they can pay the fee as there has been a lot of rumours that they cannot.

The big problem here is that it's kind of replaying a situation we seem to have created over and over for a while admittedly for different reasons where we are hamstrung in terms of player recruitment ,, stick or twist ,,, it's pretty clear Mac feels we need a striker , the whole Martin thing fogs everything up , do we go out and get another striker if Martin situation plays out in a way where we have to sit tight and get him back at the end of the season ,,. The window is open but we can't really go for another striker in case we can get Martin back in Jan ,, , this is the same as player recruitment problems we have created with managerial changes recently ,, players in before clement arrives ,, wassell till the end of season so any new manager coming in does not get time to manage and asses the squad properly ( turned out to be Pearson but could have been anybody else) so go into the season with a kind of suck it and see situation that ultimately hurt us Badly ,, just an observation but we seem to keep doing things in a very messy way at the moment that's hindering us and we don't appear to be able to get settled and start moving forward with a clear un fuddled vision and plan ,,,,, for me the best way forward now is for Derby to make a decision and fast about how we approach this window and player recruitment now ,, we are in a position to challenge for play offs , are we going to push for it and get the players Mac feels we need or not , would be criminal and a waste of another season to not recruit if that's what we need by messing round with a very unclear Chris Martin situation

He is exactly the player that you need, its patently obvious.

Derby would do very well in this window if that were the one signing that you make.

He may well be ( opinion only ) but there's no point flogging a dead horse and ending up with no one if it is messy non starter ? Also Martin being the only signing this window will not be a magic spark to ignite Derby as he was having a hard time being effective before he left in terms of deeper problems with the team and how we played

exactly, if he came back he would be on fire but if the supply is not existent the fire will go out.  More recent experience means that we are far from guarnteed that CM will provide the goal scoring touch that will get us to the play offs. I'm also worried that all this speculation is having a negative affect on some; Bent, Vydra and Ince, but I have nothing to back this up apart from the last 2 games which may be down to fatigue in the whole team

You can not seriously be suggesting that Bent, Vydra and Ince can't score because they've heard we want CM back?! FFS what sensitive little loves they are. Shall we ask them which new striker they'd like to work with? ROFL!

You're right but there is surely an impact on their attitude.  If we assume Ince likes to play with Bent, then a martin return makes a Bent exclusion very likely right? They now know for sure Mac wants Martin back as his striker in a 4-3-3. So where will Bent play?  Nowhere. They prob know more than any of us do. All decisions have an impact.

Whilst SJ's tough talk to the media might impress the Fulham fans they seem to have missed the fact that if Chris Martin does now come back to PP he will look a right tit. With talk of Malaga wanting him that could be just the excuse he needs to disappear and claim that none of it was his fault and his board didn't back him.

You've seen all the little one-twos Ince and Hughes have been making over the last few weeks? How do you think Ince wouldn't like to play with a proper hold-up man? Assumption is the mother of all f ups...
