derbydan
i saw that one coming good luck to the lad just hope he doesn't come back and bite us in the ass was a great prospect until he started getting so many injuries
lyndsey
if his contract was up in the summer then he would of gone on a free anyway as no one would prob buy him in January with him being injured(yet again). it was obvious that his heart wasn't in it and if reports regarding his wages are true then at least we wont have to keep paying him till the end of the season. Is it a shame... i think yes and no. Dont think he would ever be the same player we first saw a few years ago, whether it be his attitude or maybe a pshycological fear of getting another injury and shying away from tackles etc... just hope when/if he hets fit he dont bite us on the arse if he comes back to PP
Perky1106
It's a shame he had to go and it would have been nice to have made a couple of million but his heart isn't in Derby unfortunately. For the greater good I guess. But what if he goes to Forest?

Day
Steve McClaren is ready to offer Giles Barnes a dream move to Dutch table toppers Twente Enschede - after he was paid up by Derby County. Talented Barnes had his contract cancelled with the Rams yesterday after an injury-hit run which also cost him a move to Premier League Fulham last season. However McClaren is a big fan of Barnes's and wants to see him in training before taking him on - and giving him a crack at the Dutch title plus a shot at the Champions League next season. Barnes's career went astray a couple of years ago after he was tipped for the top. Injuries and form less meant that Derby finally gave up on him and parted company with a settlement yesterday. Derby manager Nigel Clough said: “It is unfortunate that his career here has been hampered by injury for the past two years, but Giles is a determined character and we all wish him well in the future. http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Steve-McClaren-set-to-offer-Giles-Barnes-chance-to-revive-career-in-Holland-after-midfielder-released-by-Derby-article252971.html

Perky1106
I wouldn't call playing in the Eredivisie for Twente a "dream move". Though people have different defintions of "dream". Depends what they're into I guess.
