Bris Vegas Posted December 28, 2016 Share Posted December 28, 2016 I think the PL has only recently become competitive due to the lack of quality at the top clubs. The Liverpool, United, Chelsea and Arsenal sides of 10 years ago were much better than they are now. Everybody prefers a more competitive league. I personally find the PL title race more interesting now than when United used to dominate with only Arsenal putting up a realistic challenge. The way this season is going though, looks like Chelsea could make very uncompetitive while the real race seems to be for a top four spot. Real Madrid, likewise, are breezing through La Liga at present and look unstoppable. In Germany, Bayern are continuing to dominate, but take them out of the equation and you have a right battle between a number of big, exciting clubs for those Chamions League spots. In recent years in some leagues the battle for the CL spots has actually been more exciting than the title race. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
