This thread from one of their forums puts things in a little perspective, and is funny AF to boot...

He has a fair view... This is not so different from the Mac situation 3 years ago. Maybe their owners took at look at that situation and thought it was best to boot him before their season was completely derailed.

I haven't read all the posts in the thread do don't know if this has been touched on...

When GR was in the frame for taking over at PP he said 'you can never say never', which are wise words as even if he didn't take the job now he may at some point in the future. I remember thinking that that's really all SMc said... But then again thinking about it, the team did car crash!

Does that mean he'll be back in charge of Birmingham within 18 months?

Not only is it odd that they would go for a big football name, but they dont seem to know anything about terminating a managers contract.

Apart from the fact Rowett has been more successful as a coach then Zola ever has, when was the last time a sacked manager was giving interviews to radio and newspapers 2 days later about the terms of the sacking.

Perhaps the dodgy asian owners have never heard of a confidenitaly clause.
