CumbrianRam
Derby County are in the advanced stages of talks with midfielder Stephen Pearson over a new contract. The 27-year-old Scot's current deal is due to expire in the summer and Rams boss Nigel Clough has revealed that an agreement is close. Clough is hopeful that a settlement will soon be reached, with only 'little details' to be sorted, but there are concerns regarding Person's injury record. "We are quite a long way down the road with Stephen but there are just a couple of little details to sort out," said Clough. "We are a little bit concerned about his injury record and Stephen understands that." http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11688_5743928,00.html

Jess
I'm a bit indifferent about him to be honest! I do like how he runs at defences when he is in the mood lol
vicky-27
Clough is hopeful of agreeing a new contract with Pearson, but the player's agent, Willie McKay, has revealed the 27-year-old is considering all his options with other clubs keeping tabs on Pearson's situation. "Stephen is a free agent in June and obviously some clubs have spoken to me to ask about his situation," McKay told skysports.com. "There has been some dialogue with Derby and they have offered him a new one-year deal. "Stephen has been unlucky with injuries at Derby, but he has a wealth of experience having played in the Champions League for Celtic and the Premier League for Derby. "Stephen is keen to secure his long-term future and we are waiting to see if that will be with Derby or another club. He sounds good according to his agent - shall we sign him
