Van der MoodHoover
perhaps a quick call to Andre W to see how hes fixed? Baird would basically be like a right sided Warnock - not bad in itself, but would disrupt our flow

In the squad we have Anya, Hanson, Keogh, Baird, Stabana all capable of playing at RB non i really fancy over christie but Anya is a good attacking option. Hanson and baird seem to struggle playing full back. Keogh should remain at CB in my opinion but is capable at RB. I haven't seen Stabana but i gather it's probably too soon for him. Chris Solly is my outside option for January. You missed out Alefe Santos as the other option who's been prepared as a right wingback in the juniors, is now 21 and was given a one-year contract this summer. In the run up to the Wolves game Steve Mc said he'd been training with the first team. I would think Anya or Santos are the best options, both converted wingers who've now played decent amount of games in the wingback position . JuanFloEvraTheCocu'sNesta
Forgive my ignorance but how hard is it for a left back to play right back and vice versa? The principles are surely the same? The second half against Wolves showed us what we miss when Christie is off the pitch so I think we need to replace him with someone who at least has some pace. Leicester Ram
It's got to be Anya. Baird and Keogh at RB almost completely destroys our attacking game. Before anyone says Wisdom worked as a defensive full-back, yes, but he could at least put in a decent cross and was physically capable of backing up attacks. Neither of Keogh or Baird can do both those things. Anya is alright defensively, definitely quick enough to track back effectively and still keeps our attacks flowing down the right side. Important that Ince has a decent attacking full-back on his side too. I'd now be seriously considering getting on the phone to Liverpool to see if we they get Wisdom back off loan and sell him to us in January. The blokes career isn't really going anywhere and he probably had his best spell at Derby under McClaren. When Christie's back, he offers a decent option at CB too. I'd love to see a mobile pairing like him and Keogh who are both good on the ball start home games for us. You know it makes sense.

You can't have a full back who can't run. Will get skinned every time. Keogh was a right back for Coventry so can play there. Alternatively try Anya there....at least he has some pace..... The Key Club King
With only Baird, Keogh, Anya, Hanson, Stabana and probably Olsson and Santos capable of playing right-back we will have to either change to 343 or narrow the pitch on the right-side so that there is only a left-side and a centre. Can this thread be reverted to the original "Cyrus Christie is rubbish" topic please? It will look silly when we call him the missing link after a few bad results. We'll be back in 81
In Andre Wisdoms interview recently he said his best and preferred position is center back, not sure what position he is currently playing. Would love to see him back. Anya in for Christie.
Woodley Ram
My thoughts are with Cyrus Christie, it took guts trying to play on like that. He was in good form as well. If we haven't extended his contract we should, he has people having a go at him but I rate him good luck CC come back better and stronger just like George and Will

Premier ram
Typical Derby County luck with injuries , always a player in form , Thorne , Fozzy now Cyrus , but this is what managers are paid good money for in picking the right replacement, i would give Anya a go especially when the next 2 games are at home and we need to be on the front foot , perhaps alternate with Baird for away games. Good luck Cyrus hope your fit and raring to go in the timescale mentioned
