Seriously? Who to, hasn't looked that good the bits of play I've seen.

He would be a dream for us, an attacking midfielder who can score, dribble, pass accrutely and was good enough to play for Monaco last season.

He wouldn't have done anything today. He is useless whenever playing against teams who sit back

Have to disagree. Two major problems today were Bent not showing for the ball and hence giving the midfield an option to go forwards quickly and not moving the ball quick enough (or with enough guile in attacking positions). Both are the things completely in Martin's wheelhouse.

Completely agree. Bent is a good pro and doesn't just go through the motions but he just doesn't and never has fit into our style of play. Time to move him on and free up a sizeable chunk of money from our wage bill.

Mostly agree but I actually think he does go through motions at times and it's a big part of the problem with him, in particular games like today it felt like we were playing with ten men.

Martin's good when he has space I.e Hull home 4-0 and play off second leg but when teams sit deep he gets man marked out of the game and it's also like playing with 10 men. The one that sticks out particularly is the play off final when Martin couldn't get out of dunne's pocket.  Not a fan of Bent either, now where are them users who said he was good as Kodjia...

We had no midfield runners, again Martin wouldn't have made any difference because he would have got man- marked and he today is the perfect example of when Martin has been frustrated in the past, remember forest away last season?

I think it's frustrating for him because we don't play to his strengths so it can come across as though he's going through the motions. However he did offer very little today even on the rare occasions we put the ball in dangerous areas where he usually thrives. That's why it's time to move him on.

Today isn't about Martin, but what I will say is that the only indicator in whether he would have had an effect on the game is the last 20 mins. Before then, between Vydra, Ince and Bent none of them were wanting to hold onto the ball and we're panicking/making mistakes. With Russell and Butterfield coming on, it gave Hughes/Anya more room in the final third and the ball stuck up there which gave us a better chance of winning. It's Martin's game to hold on the ball and be productive in the final third so I can't see why he wouldn't have made a difference today as it's vital for us to play in the final third?

It's all hypothetical but Vydra would have been the runner linking up with Martin. Looking forward to seeing how that dynamic works.

Doesn't make any difference Martin is off to Wolves anyway.......

Wasn't aware you were involved in the transfer dealings for Derby. Was Pearson's idea to sell all our technical players for Yorkshire terriers that run around a lot but can hardly kick a ball yours?
