The stuff I had was the pils not weissbeir.

The fact that it's made/owned by the same brewery means nothing.

I'm not going to stop drinking Kwak or Tripel Karmeleit because I'm not keen on Bud Lite.

I will, however, steer clear of their pils. I don't think I've ever had it.

Tonight, I'm having an almost religious experience - 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze.

It's the first time I have ever tasted it. I appreciate that sour beers are not to everybody's taste (The Memsahib utterly hates them) but this, to me, is one of the greatest beers I have ever tasted.

Better than Double Diamond or Watneys Red Barrel?

Almost at Worthington 'E' or Whitbread Trophy level, Utch.

Second beer on the menu tonight is a Triporteur Full Moon 12 Oak Aged.

I think I've died and gone to heaven.

It's a bit sad that you need a 10% imperial version of Jaipur to get it to taste anything like it used to and not the piss poor excuse for Jaipur you get in supermarkets, but this is excellent.

The TeKu glass is great too, it's just a shame I know I'll probably smash it at some point in the not too distant future!

Did you buy the box with all three in and a pair of socks?

One from Aldi, a french beer (not particularly common) aged on rum barrel chips.

Quite basic base beer in truth, but drinkable, and under £3 for a big bottle.

Saw that the other day but decided to stick with the Cornish Brewery "Proper Job" IPA.

How does it compare (assuming you've tried the IPA)?
