The money would be nice, but I don't see the logic of selling one of the better strikers in the league to a rival.

Would be such a backwards step.

Depends on what comes in. In the transfer window we're not only going to make "forward" steps, we have too many players. Some will need to go.

Sell Martin and buy Bamford for 1/3 -1/2  of what we receive for Martin.

Id want kodjia or assombalonga here then get rid of Martin for what we paid for one of them. Even up the books, sell Hendrick then buy wells and be in profit for a right back.

improve our forward line and defence and get rid of a CM in a bloated position.

all that and be cost neutral. If anything left is look at a right winger. A loan could suffice

Let's try to get them up to around 10m, bite their hand off, and work towards playing more dynamically without him. He is desperately unfit and I can't see Pearson putting up with too many performances like Grimsby.

how do you know that he's desperately unfit?

He looks the slimmest he's ever been in a derby shirt to me? or do I need a trip to specsavers?

I can't wait for the meltdown when we haven't got a goal scorer next season...

Surely the whole thing about having a plan B last season, would be the same again this year if we can't shift into a 4-3-3 and only have strikers that can play in a 2?

I would do anything to keep Martin, he's been class for us over the last few years and he's been more than involved in everything good we have done and when he hasn't been fit, we have been shocking! Do we really want to move all these players on? he would be a massive miss for me!

Chrissy Martin, Derby's number 9!!

Martin has been very good over the years for us but I've heard from a number of people that Pearson doesn't fancy Martin and isn't very happy with the way that he applies himself. Martin is a 20 goal a season striker when he is played in the right system and the team is built to suit his style. In this current style he'd be lucky to score 10 goals imo. If we are persisting with this new formation then I think it may just be in the best interest of both parties to move on.

From what I have seen it's not just Martin that doesn't fit in with the 4-4-2, it's the whole team, we might as well just the whole squad and start again if that's the case..

Will Hughes looks rubbish in a 2 man midfield, shall we sell him too?

Thorne, Ince and Russell also don't fit a 4-4-2!

On what basis do you judge that?

Did he play much worse than Blackman or Bent?
