ladyram
If I was there I'd say let them have the flags, I'm off home. Let the FA and French authorities sort them out and do it quick before somebody dies.
Rev
I can see now why DEL didn't take his flag.
davenportram
are those the same black clad Russians that only "allegedly" attacked England fans in Marseille old port? ITV ran report where it highlighted a Russian fan involved in several incidents, it was like the old days of England abroad when they highlighted our ringleaders. Yet they couldn't find any England ringleaders - maybe there aren't any.
Seth's left foot
It's easy to pinch flags when the fans have been moved. The Russians look like they know Kung Fu! My mate out there said that they are picking on small groups, when they come up against larger groups of England fans they get chased off. I can see trouble when Marseille and Russian sides come here for European games. I'm going out there on Wednesday, be interesting to see what the Welsh bring to the party. davenportram
it looks like the police let them walk into the area unchecked and when trouble started tear gassed where the trouble was. What about prevention?

I'm not excusing the French police for letting them through but, they're big ******* and they seemingly go around Europe doing what they want. They did in Poland/Ukraine 4 years ago, and they continue to do so. Unchecked and unruly.

If police gad put a line across the narrow street then it would slow them down then hit them with tear gas etc if they tried to go through it. YouRams
I know a few lads that have been in Marseille as some have mentioned English are no angels but it seems the English are getting stitched right up. French police are targeting large gatherings of English fans with tear gas, splitting them up which has lead a lot into side streets where they are being picked off by Marsielle and Russian hooligans. All the videos floating about social media suggest the same, hardly any police presence during the attacks but heavy handed police presence for the English just singing songs and being a bit rowdy. YouRams seems to suggest the police are working in conjunction with the Russians but I don't believe that. I've seen another video of some English fans enjoying some wine and tapas (or local cuisine) and French fans turn up, cue seat, table and sign throwing. Riot police turn up, French run off and the tear gas is aimed at them. It also prevented the English fans from retaliating, moment over. That video of the Russian mob wading in suggest similar, cept you can't distinguish between the French and English fans. They're French fans at the end of the video glorying in the fight. But it was blatantly Russians who started it.
Seth's left foot
The World Cup in Russia will get messy. England might have to 'team' up with other countries for safety in numbers. Add hooliganism to racism and it makes a mockery of Kick it out by UEFA where the Russians are concerned.

Maybe we could have an alliance of football fans from NATO countries.

Gritstone Ram
The French seem like a load of ***** policing. Oooh some fans are singing songs quick fire some tear gas. Ooooh someone has broke a bottle fire some tear gas in. Ooooh I've broke a nail fire some tear gas. The Russians are attacking the England fans eeerrr do nothing. rsmini
So with all this crap going on in France. No Police in the ground etc. It makes me question why the hell I bother with football anymore. Just go and enjoy the game for goodness sake it's a sport not a war zone. If you were a steward in stadium last night would you want to wade in and try and calm down the Russians without any support from the Police

If the attackers move away when the police arrive the tear gas should be deployed BETWEEN the groups of fans as a barrier.
