Posted June 1, 20169 yr We have decent team i think we need a new cdm in case Thorne not fit for start of the season. Yes jeff did a good job there 2nd at hull but i think we need some depth there. There is a player i liked looks of from afc wimldon lyle taylor i think he would offer that pace up front someone martin could link up well with chris martin. But is some good young players in a youth system and who are playing in our under 21 team that i hope nigel pearson will at least look at. Players i would let go are bird pearson from reading and same with nick blackmen masion bennet not fair on the lad to keep him here i like the lad but does seem likely break into our team now.
June 1, 20169 yr If we were planning to sign someone up front with a bit of pace (seems like 99% of the people on here want us to), I'd prefer for us to go for someone who'd be less of a gamble, like Wells or James Wilson on loan.
June 1, 20169 yr Author I know it is at league two level but he scored 23 goals this season and a good prosebet but i think he has good ball control i think he would cause champership defances all sorts of probleams with pace alone and tasted success already will have the taste for more.

Still, if Pearson's track record is anything to go by a lot of signings will come from the lesser-known areas.

June 1, 20169 yr I think Camara will be Pearson's type of player to be honest, can see him getting game time.
June 1, 20169 yr I think we should start planning for a future with out Thorne and buy to replace him. Hes been too injury prone to rely on, so I think we need to buy a CDM equivalent or obv better than Thorne and expect him to hardly play again for Derby

He's failed at every club he's been at bar Wimbledon and Falkirk for a season each. During his time at Sheffield United and Bournemouth in League One he scored 4 goals in 59 games, then only a year ago at Ssausagehorpe he scored 4 in 25 at League Two level. That's 8 goals in 84 games over 3 clubs, which is worse than Conor Sammon at 10 goals in 83 games for us. If you're signing someone from the lower leagues, at least sign someone who consistently delivers year on year. Lyle Taylor simply isn't good enough and isn't young enough to buy, develop then sell on in a few years. Yes he played well and scored in the play off final but you can't sign players purely on that reasoning, if so lets sign Akinfenwa on a free.

Racist! Edit - B4 is Nigel Clough
June 1, 20169 yr Author I am not being raciest at all mate Tell me what good prosebets young bring in then.

I'd like to see some of Zanzala in first team during pre season, only seen video footage from u21s and he looks exciting! Might work up top with Martin too.
June 1, 20169 yr If we need pace upfront as a 2. Surely Weimann is worth a try before spending money. I feel with a run in the first team he will prove his worth. Although I've yet to see anything in Blackman, he may prove me and lots of others wrong as a 2 man front line and not pushed out wide, won't hold my breath tho. Wimbledon lad looked a little lightweight to me, needs to get on the beasts weights a bit
