Kernow
Wow. What a game football is hey? I've got mixed emotions after that one and I'm not really sure how to feel. I'm proud. We put in a performance and showed that we are good enough. We could easily have gone through tonight and based on our dominance you couldn't begrudge us of that. We were better in this game than Hull were in the last. I'm frustrated. We put in a good performance and showed that we are good enough. So where was it on Saturday. Over the course of four games this season we're better than Hull, much better. We've beaten them 8-3 on aggregate but of course that counts for nothing. If we performed like we did today on Saturday, we'd be making Wembley threads right now. I'm disappointed. We went so close in a game where many, myself included, had dismissed us. I could not see us recovering from Saturday yet we pushed them all the way. We tired for the last 20 minutes and in the end Hull saw it out with relative ease. But we scared them out of their skin from the start. Football is a cruel game and it's funny how many emotions you can experience in such a short space of time. I also want to end this post by thanking Darren Wassall. I'm not his biggest fan, but I'm not his biggest critic. Ideally I would like a new guy in charge next season and that would likely still be the case if we had won tonight. But you can't fault his passion and I hope he will accept a different role at the club if we do indeed choose to go with someone else. He's a man you need at your club but I still doubt whether he's the man to have at the helm. He came through the crowds just to appreciate the Derby fans and you've got to respect that. Keogh was getting squared up to by some inbred, a six fingered fist could easily have clouted Wassall too. In the end, you can't be anything other than gutted after that. But we'll pick ourselves up, dust ourselves down, and get ready to ride the unbearable roller-coaster which is Derby County in a few months time. Up the Rams.
