Howard Canitbé
Huge well done has to go to whoever reported the suspect package and the security staff etc. who were responsible for evacuating the stadium and keeping everybody safe. Potentially horrific situation averted.
IlsonDerby
Hope to not see people making light of this, if this was a genuine threat then we have to accept the fact that somebody today went to a football match with the intention of killing as many innocent people as possible (including children). That thought is absolutely chilling.

Agree, if theyh catch who did it they should strap an explosive to his scrotum, just large enough to blow them apart, and then let him bleed very slowly to death over several hours. IlsonDerby
It seems it was an elaborate hoax. There has got to be a serious public disorder charge that will see the people responsible behind bars... They're still terrorists regardless of whether the bomb is real or not as the fear is real.
DCFCArmy
Don't we get patted down at the IPRO?, last time I went a few weeks ago I was asked to be patted down, happily obliged otherwise it was no entry and having paid £30 for a ticket there was no chance of that happening Hope it was a hoax but even then they'll have to step up security. Cisse
I always have a back pack with me and it hasn't ever been checked in Derby. They did quickly check it in Wolverhampton before the game when I went inside a pub across their stadiium.

davenportram
the quote I heard was that the device "wasn't viable". That is different to a fake or hoax. It means someone put together a real device that, but that said device wouldn't operate.
