Priorities for this summer

Whilst a rebuild is needed, our main aim should be to target someone with a proven track record and plays with our philosophy. Mel if you're reading, spend anything to get Nigel Pearson or Mark Warburton. Rowett is good but doesn't play the Derby way so fans will look at him like they did with Clement. Oh and whatever you do, don't sell Hughes.

1. Get in a manager/head coach (and give them the season minimum) who has a philosophy similar to that of the players and style we want as a club.

2. Loan a CDM to cover Thorne for next season

3. Move on a couple of players on the periphery that wish to go or manager doesn't need. Get a squad of 20-22 as a max.

4. Go into next season as a team determined to beat everyone, regardless of the matchup. No fear. Just play our game.

I'd let the academy lads have a shot. Rawson, Lowe, Guy, Calero and Zanzala all deserve a chance.

I'd also get rid of Shackell, Johnson, Hendrick, Blackman and Camara. Go back to what we had before - players who fit the system and the culture.

Then I'd bring in someone who knows how to get out of the league and is happy to play "the Hull way" - smart at the back and clinical up front.

There's nothing wrong with the way we play when we play properly.

What's wrong is when crap footballers can't do it. When we rely on a player that's unfortunately always injured. When we have a chance to win the play offs and rather than play our way, we decide to play another way that included thousands of long diagonal balls. When don't adapt to the scoreline or the the problems we are causing ourselves.

Stupidity. Pure stupidity.

We changed too much from the McClaren team. All that team needed was additional cover. The balance of the squad has been ruined. Whoever manages us next has a choice to make. Boiled the squad around the old guard or the players we've brought in.

Controversial probably but I'm thinking maybe we should rip the spine out of this team/ sell the likes of Keogh and Martin. Potentially Bryson too? The ones that have bottled it in the last three seasons because 3 seasons of near misses is a lot of baggage for a team to be carrying?

I'm happy to be proved wrong I just cannot see this group of players not choking when the going gets tough

I'm  going to San  Francisco and  Vegas  as  well  and hopefully forgetting about  this  debacle. I'm  still  being  told the manager we're after  is  Brendan  Rogers

Not controversial at all mate. I'd sell Martin and Keogh too. Martin lets us down too much when we need him most and Keogh isn't great against top championship players

I'll make it clear now that I think they're both good players.

I'd have voted Keogh POTS and Martin is our top scorer but I feel like we had the chance to tinker with what McClaren had and make a few tweaks and it didn't work. Now I feel like it's time for a fresh approach. A different style of play that doesn't rely on one player the same way 433 relies on Martin... We can play good attacking football without a fancy formation.

Get a manager not a head coach, someone thats accountable for all decisions, and ultimately the signing of players. Fair enough we want to play this Derby way of passing football, just appoint a manager that likes to play passing football It doesnt have to change everytime we appoint a new manager just appoint managers that have the same 'philosophy' and keep the same youth set up, staff & scouts like southampton

Why on earth would we keep the scouts? If any part of the club has failed miserably it is them.
