Favourite retro computer games

Wasn't sure whether to post this as a message in the gaming thread, but that seems to focus more on new or new-ish games. So let's see if anyone's interested in discussing favourite retro games -- maybe anything from the 1990s or before.

I'm voting for Lemmings, with honourable mentions to Elite and Populous.

Hey American Ram,

Totally forgot about Monkey Island. Many of those Lucas Arts point-and-click adventures were great. Loom, Indiana Jones, etc.

Did you see that Day of the Tentacle has been updated and re-released?

Oh, and by the way American Ram, you make me want to puke. There are no words for how disgusting you are.

Galaxian down the amusement arcade. Then we got one in the pub and the landlord gave a bottle of whisky for the high score of the month. Mmmmmm, free whisky.

Chuckie Egg

School Days

United

Sensible Soccer

Track and Field (all time favourite)

Skool Daze and Back to Skool were both brilliant.

I'm just straying into the 90's with this one, but Uncharted Waters was lots of fun.

On Acorn Electron/BBCB:

Chuckie Egg - Platform game

Dunjunz - A crazy split screen up to 4 player rip off of Gauntlet. Imagine now having 4 people crowding round one keyboard trying to all press different direction & shoot keys.

Football Manager

Repton - Sort of mining & puzzle game

Elite - Space trading/shooting

Plan B - Platform game

Absolute favourite though was Gauntlet on C64 or arcade. The C64 version used to have bugs in it where you could get stuck on walls or the Death character would multiply.

Repton is free on the app store, workmate has been playing all morning!
