The last time Derby looked really convincing was when they were attacking as a team under Stevie Mac. Of late that same attacking football has been back, but we're also seeing the defence faulter similairly to before. Is this the way to go?

Yes.

I do think that Clements undoing was being too cautious. With 3 points for a win you have to go for it. Wassall has quite a few wins , a few defeats too but only one draw.. the infamous 3-3 draw at Rotherham. Hopefully hes learned from his mistakes on that one, only one sub used in the last two games  not 3 crazy substitutions. With two attacking fullbacks we may not have the best defence but we will create chances I think.

Sky stats don't lie.......

Brizzle scored from only 2 shots on target. We had 15 shots and 7 on target.

That's a great away performance in my book. The goals conceded were statistically very unusual.

If we're playing an attacking high risk game then may get the occasional aberration.

Oh- and a come from behind victory. Not had many of them this season.

COYR......

Three clean sheets in the play offs would be handy.

I was hoping nobody would quote me, turns out we conceded against Bolton, so went for the cheeky edit...

But we're definitely playing football in the right way, it's not like we weren't defensively suspect under Clement. Ultimately it takes a lot of time and consistency to build a really defensively solid team and this back 5 haven't played together long thanks to PC's chopping and changing (e.g. getting rid of Warnock).

It's not like we are conceding loads. What's that about 3 in the last 4 games? First goal conceded at home on Saturday in 5 home games? A bit different from last year if you ask me

Not talking about the end of season run in, more the way we concede them. The penalty for bolton was a completely avoidable one. Tonight's goals were also avoidable. Not complaining as I'd be happy to concede 2 a week if we're gonna score 3/4 every game

True that we've been solid lately but the worry is that (a) we do seem to go on runs with our defensive frailties; and (b) these mistakes can pop up anywhere.

That said, there is literally no point carrying on about it now.

It wasn't that long ago that many of us couldn't see how our form would see us in the playoffs. It's turned around!

We are in the playoffs! And, to put it bluntly, we have more chance of winning promotion from 5th (or 4th) than we ever did from our finishing position last season.

It takes us up to a nice round 80 shots in 4 games. 'Speculate to accumulate', as the saying goes.
