Pre-season player bets

Just out of interest - how many of you put them on and how many of you are close to winning?

I remember quite a few that Sky Bet put up.

I think Tom Ince to score over 12.5 goals was at 4/1. As he has 10, he needs three in the next six to win. I'm pretty sure we all thought he would easily achieve this. Did he overperform last season? Probably.

There was also over 50 goals between Martin, Bent, Weimann and Ince at something like 4/1 which many predicted would be easy too. How many are they on? Can't be any more than 35 combined?

Surely there were more?

Think the bet was league only, as far as I can tell he has 1 in the league and 1 in the cup

he's only scored 6 in his whole career I think, anyone betting he'd get more than 5 is a fool.

I had is to win it and for some reason i was convinced bent would be top scorer

anyone who actually put a bet on that because they thought it would actually happen was a fool or part of a betting match fixing racket. Just because it has actually happened doesn't make them not a fool, just very lucky

I was just being objectionable but clearly despite looking at the statistical probabilities exceptional events do occur

I remember someone mentioning the odds on us going all season without a 0-0. Seemed fairly attractive and with all our firepower it could happen.

Id have bottled it and cashed out if id had that bet. Some of the cash out amounts have been insane

I agree just imagine if you put a tenner on at the start of the season as a throwaway bet

I didn't have Derby related bets but did have Fulham as a regional winner of London.

In hindsight, poor poor bet, but I was really expecting them to do well this season.

Me and dad put £50 on weimann Martin and ince to all reach 10 league goals at 7-1. Looked a solid bet earlier on in the season haha!

You would be hard-pressed to find any team in any 38-game+ season which has managed to go through an entire campaign without a 0-0. Even Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG, Dortmund and Bayern Munich have had 0-0s this season.

On further evidence, seems on Rangers in the Scottish first division haven't had a 0-0. But that's hardly surprising when they're an able team, playing against pub-standard sides.
