Curtains
How well is he doing. Thought he was the answer for some. Is he getting beyond Martin Is the midfield doing its job
TheDeadlySaul
Is it a surprise that since he has come back Martin has started scoring again? He was my man of the match against Forest with his constant running giving the Forest players hell and was one of the key players for the goal. Where is the strengh in there with Butterfield or Hendrick , Bryson and Thorne We are conceding more goals also now .Take Rotherham and Cardiff that's 5 in the last 2 away games against average sides . Hanson played in midfield against Rotherham didn't he with Bryson and Hendrick

My opinion is that out best midfield involves a runner who links up play well with Martin (Hendick, Bryson) and a play-maker who dictates play and can unlock a defence (Hughes, Butterfield). Johnson would be in the midfield for me he's wasted on the left. I would like to see Thorne, Johnson and Bryson or Hendrick in there. Im not underestimating Cardiff but they are average and Rotherham was diabolical . We were poor against Forest 1st half but got a good result . The midfield needs a shake up. Mr Tibbs
Compared to when these pair hit it off a couple of seasons ago teams sit much deeper and because of this we also knock it around much deeper than we did. I don't think it's as easy as 1+1=2 like it was in the Bobby Z season, teams weren't focusing on us as much as they are now. It's not down to Bryson or Martin or just the two, there's plenty which needs altering from the whole teams perspective.

I'd experiment against Hull because the team that played at Cardiff will lose to Hull otherwise. Come on Harry and Darren it can't get any worse . I don't care who you pick just get it RIGHT . Experiment a bit.

I think he would be useful to be bought on to close tight games down or to give Thorne a rest, but he has no right to start over players like Bryson, Russell and Butterfield. And Cardiff aren't an average side at all, there is a reason they are just one place below us and hardly anyone has beaten them at home. Plus why are you even brining the Rotherham game up? It was Hardly Bryson's fault that there was no holding midfielder or any striker who can hold up the ball.

We may make the playoffs if we are lucky. I want to stay upbeat .

The answer why we are in free-fall? If I knew that I would be working for Derby right now. If I were to guess then it is probably a few reasons: Inexperienced manager Inconsistent players and starting 11s Sacking a manager halfway through the season and not having an adequate replacement

RadioactiveWaste
Bryson is at least trying. No he's not back to his best form but he is an improvement on the Butters/Johnson midfield that was treading on the toes of Thorne post Xmas.

Johnson is wasted full stop. Bryson runs a lot yes, that does a hell of a lot for the team. Creating space for others, putting the work in, and he has some quality. That's what we need in our squad now, not waiting for Bradley Johnson to magically turn himself into the leagues best midfielder again. While we're at it drop Martin and put Bent in, he used to play for England you know?
