Yojimbo
Tim Sherwood has emerged as a contender to become Derby County's head coach next season. The Championship club are searching for Paul Clement's long-term replacement and sounded out the former Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa manager. Derby are understood to have reservations about Nigel Pearson, while Brendan Rodgers, David Moyes and Gary Rowett were previously considered candidates for the job at Pride Park. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/article-3509370/Tim-Sherwood-running-Derby-County-head-coach-season-Championship-club-search-boss.html?ITO=1490&ns_mchannel=rss&ns_campaign=1490 How would you feel if this came to fruition? I wouldn't be impressed, personally. He's already failed twice.

King Kevin
I was thinking the other day potentially some big clubs in the Championship net season and likely to be looking for a new manager .and we are dicking about with someone who ain't going to make it ,shame but DW is just not good enough . Need to make sure the good one's don't all get positions leaving us with the dregs.
Duracell
I asked my mum about this as she's ITK, but gilet that one to rest.
StaffsRam
I'm generally supportive of what Mel's doing, and although mistakes have been made, I'd hope that he's learning as he goes. If Sherwood comes in then it's a clear sign that my base assumption above is way off.
Pearl Ram
I've just thought of a song for this, "Tim Sherwood in at Derby County, I say no, no, no." Wonder if it would catch on ? Actually I'm hoping it's just "his people" putting out a reminder he's still around and looking for work. Surely Mel knows he's a latter day Ray Wilkins, everything he touches turns to ****. Stripperg-ram
He's not as terrible as some would have you believe. But I just think he's the wrong coach. We have a group of players that are good enough to get promoted, we just need someone to get them playing well together again. Think we'd have to wait for him to find his feet and we could do with someone to have an instant impact, Maclaren stylee.
Papahet
I can't really see why he's being sounded out, especially he's failed when given the opportunity and like Clement, has no experience of this division and getting out of it. We need someone with character who gets the best out of his players. Just get Pearson in and have done with it.
Rev
Personally I'd be disappointed, like I was when Jim Smith took charge, and to a lesser degree Steve McClaren. I was happy enough when Jewell was appointed, and Clement! On that basis, I'd bang £100 quid on us going up if Lee Clark or Dougie Freedman get the job, but might cancel my ST if Pep performs a U-Turn! MackworthRamIsGod
I think whoever comes in will be familiar with Harry, I think Harry is on a scouting mission for the new manager, my guess has been sherwood so I wouldn't be suprised.
Dimmu
If manager speaks more about himself than Billy Davies, there has to be something horribly wrong with him.
eddie
Given the fact that most of you know about as much as I do about football, I'd probably feel exactly the same as everyone else on here. And then we'd all look stupid together as he either takes us to promotion or into Europe at the first attempt.
MackworthRamIsGod
Also sherwood was seen at Cheltenham with the Derby players so either there is something in it, or the story has come from the fact he was with the players.

On that basis we should ask you for your opinion once a manager is found. If you think they are **** I'll get straight down to the bookies. Rammeister
No chance. If this was going to happen he would have been appointed by now as he is out of work. Still think Rowett most likely (would prefer Pearson though), with Giggs a good outside bet if Van Gaal goes and he doesn't get the Man U job.
