YouRams
A team as poorly run as the dogs down the road, can receive an embargo then go and loan the standard of player they would attract without an embargo. What is the point? Under an embargo loans should be banned IMO, your not punishing anybody the way it is set up. How they treated Pboro with payment for asombawonga last season they deserved to have points deducted. Thoughts?

Imagine who they'd be signing, and how much extra they'd be losing, without an embargo?

If they could attract players that is. Still doesn't seem right they can mess teams about with payments then be allowed to loan. Point deductions/no loans is the only way teams will stop breaking FFP
Sith Happens
You have to allow some movement though, and a lot will depend on the amount they are having to spend on wages. Im sure every deal has to be sanctioned by the Football League. I agree with the Asambalonga situation, it was, if true as was reported, bang out of order, aswell as disrespectful to a fellow club. My view is that they were in default of payments, and as a result the ownership of the player should have been transferred back to Peteboro with forest having to compensate him for a breach in contract, and also the loss of any monies spent so far. It has to be said i still dont agree with how FFP works, if an owner, or ownership group, is prepared to cover the costs of any losses as a result of signings etc then it should be allowed. Where it should not be allowed is when then amount is effecitvely a loan to the club (Bolton/Portsmouth for example). I do not know how Fawaz handles that situation, does he loan the money to Forest or is he dipping into his own pockets without any expectation of reimbursement? The same can be said for Mel, i dont know how he is handling, that. my assumption is as we are reported to be only £6.5m in debt its the latter.
