Quite happy to see: Mitchell Shotton Bucko Pearce Lowe (hoping he's fit) Baird Hanson Hendrick (c) Weimann Bent Calero Subs: Roos, Keogh, Ince, Zanzala, Butterfield, Guy, Bennett I was very disappointed by the showing in the League Cup. Many of these players will know they have to perform to get first team action for the rest of the season and try to force their way into the picture - let's give them the chance to show what they can do. Goal(s) for either will help their confidence, and will be a nice experiment. Play the majority of the first team - get the poison of Boro's game out of the system. I do agree that's worth trying at least once from the start. Short to Martin or long to Bent? Surely it's exactly the sort of thing that's a nightmare for defenders to have to try to deal with.
