View to £16m move too... presumably dependent on them staying up.

I think I read its £15m if he plays 10 or more games and they stay up

Demarai Gray having medical at Leicester - £3.7m release clause activated according to BBC Radio Leicester

Seems a lot of money.

i was reading a few posts on the brum forum suggesting that he wasn't really deserving his place in the birmingham team.

1 year younger than Will Hughes, and played 50 games less, yet some value Hughes at £10-£15m...on that basis £3.7m is a snip!

I don't follow that logic. Surely the quality of the player would determine the value?

Of course that is the major factor!

I was working of the assumption that both are up and coming talented Championship players. I think both have played for England at most levels (not sure if Gray has played at u21 level yet but he is a year younger than Hughes).

For an up and coming English winger who hasn't been that great recently according to brum fans, whereas Hughes was our player of the year last year after spending most of the season under 20 years old. Ability has a massive factor into it.

patrick Roberts sold for 10million and I'd like to think Hughes is a much better and developed player than Roberts. Anyway the fee was activated by a release clause. I'm sure if brum had a choice they would have wanted a lot more than that value, maybe grey refused to sign a new contract without one and brum were forced to accept it.

Sheff Wed bid for Alan Judge.

They're going to make some interesting signings this month. Pushing the boat out for promotion.

Still fancy us against them at Wembley if it came to it!

Uuuuurgh please don't mention the 'W' word I'd be happy never to see that place again unless it's a cup competition.

Going to be some crazy money spent in the Prem and Championship this January.

Leicester need to make sure their contracts are water tight as could end up pulling a Leeds.

As long as we finish above Hull we're sorted! I'm not booking Wembley hotel room just yet!
