Compared to the last two seasons where we know we had dramatic 2nd half season drop offs in form we are still just ahead of the game. Fills me with confidence as I firmly believe we will be stronger 2nd half not weaker.

Love that graph. Graph of the year. Any chance you could extrapolate and plot the next 23 games? Good work!

After 23 games then 46 for last 3 seasons:

44 - 85

42 - 77

47

Just goes to show how perceptions can be distorted.

I was certain our first half last season was better than the previous one on the basis that we didn't have the indifferent start that we'd had under nigel.

Also that we're not as far ahead in points terms as I thought now relative to 2 seasons ago.

First 5 games we got 4 draws and a loss and we had huge injury problems. I can totally see us winning 15+ of our next 23 games. Brighton and now Hull have been dropping a lot of points recently. Let's see if we can get 9 points clear of 3rd come the end of match 33.

We went on that 8 game winning run in SM's first season, which more than made up for the start under NC.

2 seasons ago we got 85 points which was a record. We did slightly less well 2nd half of season... But still pretty good. This year the aim must be to be at least as good 2 nd half as in the first half. Then we should be home and hosed for the autos. But lots of tough away games to come, including the next two. Leeds tonight will be tough but maybe we can do a smash and grab on them like they did on us.

Tonight is one of last season's fixtures in which we underperformed and got beat so I will be hoping to see improvement.

Smash and grab will do although we have a great recent record there so should go with no fear.

Our disaster area that has killed us for 2 seasons running are the 'Dirty Thirties'.

Last season after 33 games we were on 65 points - after 42 games we were on 72 points!!!!

Season before we were on 61 points after 32 games - after 41 games we were on 72 points!!!!

I remember last season we said it could never be as bad as 13-14....as it turned out it was worse.
