Kernow
A lot of usernames on here I see every day, so would be interesting to hear a little background info to why your username is what it is! Some are a little easier to guess than others... Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/21272-the-story-behind-your-username/ Share on other sites
RicME85
Ric - First part of first name M - Middle name initial E - Old surname initial (change surname a few years ago but have used this username for like 10 years across a number of websites so its far easier than changing that one letter no new surname) 85 - D.O.B Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/21272-the-story-behind-your-username/#findComment-932472 Share on other sites
David
My name is David, people call me Dave, I hate it. I bet nobody calls Beckham Dave. In DCFC Fans early days an English immigrant in Austrailia on here started to call me Daveyboy, thought it sounded cool so David went to Daveyboy. After a few months I realised it made me sound like a 2 year old and someone started calling me Daveo, not sure who to give credit for that but I fell in love and went with it. I ******* hate Dave. Even the tv channel is crap. Link to comment https://dcfcfans.uk/topic/21272-the-story-behind-your-username/#findComment-932473 Share on other sites
Tombo
It's a nickname my brother once gave me. Obviously because my name is Tom. Originally came from when I was playing a wrestling game on the PlayStation or something when I was a kid and my created wrestler was a submission specialist called Deep Vein Tombosis. At the time we thought it was hilarious, that he would put you in enough figure-4 leglocks to give you DVT. Just got shortened to Tombo and oddly it stuck with me. Nobody really calls it me anymore because I'm no longer 7 so it's just become my 'online name', but it sometimes comes up with my brothers still. Which I allow because they were involved in the formation of the name. I had an ex-girlfriend who called me "Tombs" which was oddly fun. Other than that, friends and acquaintances would never call me Tombo. You would never hear me say "I'm Thomas, or Tombo for short". That would be cringeworthy. CornwallRam
I started posting on Ramzone about nine years ago when I was living in Cornwall. My first post was a call for Nigel Clough to be the next Derby County manager. I got slaughtered and told that I was living in a fantasy land; he'd never join and we'd never employ a non-league manager. I did quite enjoy bumping the thread a few months later. When I moved back to Derby I did consider changing, but I'd gotten pretty used to it by then, I sometimes wish I'd been more imaginative though. StringerBell
I was just into the Wire at around the time I first got an Xbox live account. Idris Elba's character was my favourite so I chose his name for my account and it's just sort of stuck. Plus I'm a bit of a bell end.
