Need to simplify the rules, refs have to much influence , in one paper it rates the refs performance ? Don't want to watch to see refs performance , want to watch running rugby. Trying to explain rules to others a nightmare , not gonna get neutrals to watch if to complicated. If simplified rules , like rugby league, but kept line outs , mauls proper scrums etc, game would be much better ? IMHO

Really hope NZ crush SA today.

The standard of rugby the All Blacks showed against France was awesome and a joy to watch. SA are just a rucking unit that tries to bully the opposition.

I still think that had England picked a side to win rather than a side to stop the other team, we could still be in this. But then, that's just like the football, isn't it?

New Zealand won it 20 - 18 close but probably deserved it. South Africa ran out of steam and needed to score  a try but couldn't. NZ looked nervous at times, gonna be a close final and good game hopefully. Hope Argentina show up this afternoon , not bothered who wins , but would like to see a good game

Australia and New Zealand in the final, been pretty much the perfect World Cup for the Southern Hemisphere.

Even as an Australian, there exists a small part of me that thinks New Zealand really should win it. They are an incredible side, and with Australia having already taken the Cricket World Cup this year, and it being a case of their favourite sport against our 5th sport, it would be nice for them to finally be able to have the trophies to back up their claim to be the greatest Rugby nation on the planet.

That said, if Australia wins they'll be holders, have the most World Cups and be World number 1 in Rugby.

For Australia though, it'll be a tense week making sure that Sio, Folau and especially Pocock are fit.

Reading today about all the off-field, 'motivational' stuff that Lancaster introduced and did. Like putting up  inspiring slogans all over the place and orchestrated letters to the players from their parents saying how proud of them they were.

Not a follower of rugby having been force-fed it in a rugby-only playing school, but with hindsight, wasn't it all a bit of nonsense when surely the priority should be to fix on a way of playing and knowing what your best starting team should be ?

Sounds like a classic case of style over substance to me and the same principles apply equally to football
