What with Fawaz flip-flopping over Lansbury and David Gold cancelling the Joey Barton deal based on Twitter criticism, are you happy Derby's shot callers on not on twitter or do you think it's a good thing that (some) fans have such a major influence on what are essentially business decisions?

Wish more of ours were just in case we actually do want Barton... then we can do the same.

What do you think made the club sign Shackell?

okay, what made them select Shackell over the other players that must surely have been scouted home and abroad over the last 18 months?

He was the best.

Because they do absolutely anything they're told to on twitter, and if something's tweeted to them enough times, it will happen. Come on, that one's obvious!

Next question.

Was Shackell even being suggested by Derby fans before the rumours of our interest?

you tell me Daveo... you own a forum. lol

I'm pretty sure that almost every "who would you sign.." thread since he left has featured him as someone's dream signing.

yay, signing Shackell was a surefire way to win over a lot of fans.

Win us over from where? Already sold 22,000 season tickets. Signed Ince, Weimann, Bent etc.

The need for a centre back that could defend?

My old man reckons we signed Shackell cos he was Mel's favourite player a few years back...

And whatever the case we have A fan who has a VERY major influence on signings

And I'm fine with that thanks
