Gone into UFC now.But the 80's and early 90's was the best era for me. It's sad to say, as I don't condone the steroid use that sent those guys to an early grave, but the bigger they were the more fascinating it was. Seeing the Ultimate Warrior lift another huge bloke over his head like that was impressive. Or Hulk Hogan putting his back out lifting Andre the Giant. TigerTedd Posted August 23, 2015 Share Posted August 23, 2015 Sylvester Stallone was also nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role for Rocky, also Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen.Not trying to disguise the fact it was a scripted film for entertainment.Now if Dwayne Johnson was nominated for a WWE award for best actor in the Championship and best writing you may have a pointthey have the slammies, where they win awards for best storyline etc. sometikes they we've the slammers into storylines, but things like the hall of fame, and most of the time the slammies, are for real appreciation of the talent (including the 'acting' and athleticism, if you can call it that, I do (maybe not the acting)).
